James T. "Skip" Acuff

Mr. Acuff concentrates his practice in resolving insurance disputes and unfair competition issues.

Mr. Acuff's insurance practice includes bad faith defense, construction defects, coverage issues, and fraud and arson investigations. In the area of unfair competition, Mr. Acuff has handled many cases involving non-compete disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets , and Lanham Act violations such as trademark and copyright infringement and false advertising. He is fluent in German and has represented several German-speaking clients.

Professional and Community Activities: Mr. Acuff is a member of the American Bar Association, Arizona Bar Association, and the Maricopa County Bar Association, Volunteer Lawyers Program, the Arizona State Bar Intellectual Property Section, and the Tort and Insurance Practice Sections of the American Bar Association. Mr. Acuff is a trustee of the Deer Valley Education Foundation, whose mission is to raise funds and establish grants to enhance public education in the Deer Valley Unified School District, and he is a member of the Phoenix College Legal Studies Program Advisory Committee.
